Ieng Chi Dance Association is a non-profit organization established in 1998 in Macao S.A.R. Our vision is to promote the arts of dance and performance, create a common ground for arts, and bring inspiration to the contemporary dance scene.
Together with Ieng Chi Dance Education Centre, we promote dance education through providing trainings and courses on chinese dance, ballet, modern dance, jazz dance and contemporary dance. We also encourage and support our members to bridge with art professions, among them some have already pursued careers as professional performers, producers and instructors.
We are committed to create dance productions which reflect the historical and cultural ties of Macao, some of which took part in local arts events such as the Macau Arts Festival and the Macau City Fringe Festival. We are committed to act as a platform for dance network development local and abroad. In addition to co-hosting the annual Inter-School Macao Dance Competition with DSEDJ since 2015, we have developed platforms for emerging artists and exchange programs with international institutions and invited to perform in Edinburgh, Korea, Poland, Cape Verde, Portugal, Beijing, and Hong Kong etc.
The four directions of ICDA are dance education, experimental creation, platform development and international exchange
