The courses of Ieng Chi Dance Education Centre center around two main pillars - regular dance classes and intensive training for young talents. For updates and info about new courses and offers, please follow us on facebook or send us your inquiries through our email. As a side note, our major medium of teaching is in Cantonese, but options maybe available for individual cases.  

Regular Dance Classes

Our regular dance classes are designed to promote the art of dance to the public and they consist of the following categories: 
  • Kid dance program (3-7yo)
  • Graded exam syllabus program －Chinese dance、Ballet、Jazz (7-16yo)
  • Continuing education program for adults (16+ yo)

Our kid dance program is designed for children from 3-6 years old. Our program design aims to bring kids into participating the classes happily,  progressively and systematically, so that they will be well-prepared to learn and practice dancing both emotionally and physically. They will be immersed in fun dance movement and music, develop basic dance and coordination skills and experience various styles of dance choreography through different thematic phrases, games and exercises. As soon as they complete the kid dance program, they will be ready to choose which specification (Chinese dance, ballet, jazz) they like as they transit into the graded syllabus program, our training for the next age category (7-16yo). We accept students into the kid dance program through our summer dance program from June to August every year. Please following our facebook page for announcements on application and offers.

We adapted the syllabus of the Chinese dance graded examination developed by the Beijing Dance Academy as our major structure of Chinese dance classes for students aged from 7 to 16, accompanied with body trainings and chinese dance choreographies designed specifically for students of each class level.  The classes progress from grade 4 to grade 13 and offer systematic trainings of classical chinese dance techniques to ethnic dances. Upon completion of each class level, eligible students will be recommended to take part in the official graded exam held by the Beijing Dance Academy in Macao.

We adapted the syllabus of the ballet graded examination developed by the Beijing Dance Academy as our major structure of ballet classes for students aged from 7 to 16, accompanied with body trainings and choreographies of ballet excerpts designed specifically for students of each class level.  The classes progress from grade 1 to grade 8 and offer systematic trainings of ballet dance techniques, character and ethnic dances, as well as ballet excerpts. Upon completion of each class level, eligible students will be recommended to take part in the official graded exam held by the Beijing Dance Academy in Macao.

Ready for solo performance of a ballet excerpt
We adapted the syllabus of the jazz dance graded examination developed by the China Education Federation of The Arts as our major structure of jazz dance classes for students aged from 7 and above, accompanied with body trainings and choreographies of jazz dance designed specifically for students of each class level.  The classes progress from grade 3 to grade 10 and offer systematic trainings of  jazz dance techniques, styles, improvisation as well as choreography. Upon completion of each class level, eligible students will be recommended to take part in the official graded exam held by the China Education Federation of The Arts.

We offer the following classes to adult learners with the intention to promote the art of dance to all age sectors:
  • Chinese dance,
  • ballet,
  • contemporary dance, and
  • yoga classes etc.
Interested parties may apply for all classes they wish to participate and learn several different dance genres at the same time. We would also offer new classes of different themes or styles from time to time so as to extend the range of class options to potential dance students.  For updates on class info, please follow our facebook page.   


​Intensive training for young talents
​
We look for young talents from among the current students at the center annually and offer intensive training to improve their performance, techniques and creativity. Alongside these trainings, the talents will also perform in the productions of Ieng Chi Dance Association and participate in overseas exchanges and competitions. The program aims to prepare passionate and talented students to transit into pre-professional education or dance-related environments in the future,
